Born in the UK of Channel Islands ancestry, Philip Le Gros moved to Australia where the raw natural landscapes have been a constant inspiration. He has been a water colour artist for nearly thirty years and has recently been accepted as a member of the Water Colour Society of Victoria. Philip has been painting in Victoria and South Australia for most of his life and travelled extensively overseas painting landscapes from the world's most beautiful scenery. He has exhibited and sold many paintings in Australia and overseas.

Portraiture has always been an attraction for Philip where his artistic insight brings out the inner beauty and life within each of his water colour interpretations.
